Thanks so much to everyone who came out to the swap yesterday! Even though it was a hot day out, it was a fun time and I hope that everyone enjoyed themselves.  Thanks again to Care & Share for hosting us, especially to Donna Ross who came early to help me set up AND brought some much needed iced water for everyone! I also really appreciate the extra swap tags that some of you printed out and of course the wonderful food donations for Care and Share. 

If you haven't heard, this was our last swap before the Community Dinner on September 25th. We're planning our next swap to be sometime in October and I'll keep you updated on when and where! If any of you have suggestions on a swap location, please don't hesitate to contact me!

It was lovely to meet some new friends this time around and of course it was great to see everyone mingle and catch up.  This was the first time that Wendy and I weren't able to say much before the swapping began, everyone was raring to go! Awesome.

Thanks again to everyone for all of your constant support and enthusiasm! These swaps would not be possible without all of your participation and amazing talents.  I always look forward to these swaps and I hope that you all enjoy yourselves when you come to an event.  Here are just a few photos that I took, enjoy!

On Sunday, we had another fantastic swap this time at my favorite place to get coffee - R&R Coffee Café! Thanks so much to Ryan, not only for hosting and opening on a Sunday, but for manning the coffee and drink bar so that everyone could sample delicious thirst quenchers. 

As usual, the variety of items that people brought was mind boggling.  It always seems like I never bring enough to swap because I wanted just about everything! Also, not only did a lot of regulars show up but there were a lot of new people.  It's always nice to put a name to a face, especially when you've chatted either via email, Facebook or Twitter.

Preparations for the Community Dinner are going well, but soon we'll have to start placing orders for things like tableware, beverages, a surprise gift for donors, etc.  If you haven't done so already, please RSVP as soon as you can here! We are still accepting donations as well, so if you can give please click here.  Wendy and I are so grateful for the enthusiasm and support from everyone so far.  There is also a Community Forum on the Colorado Springs Community Alliance website so that people can start sharing their ideas and what they are thinking of bringing to the dinner.  Please be sure to check that out as well! This is your dinner, and it's up to all of us to make it fun!

Wendy and I always have a great time at the swaps and we always hope that everyone else does as well! We're shooting for Sunday August 28th, 2-4pm to be the date of the next meet, but we'll of course let you know when we have solid information on date and location.
