How You Can Help
Pikes Peak Community
Cupboard is a truly free community event, so that means there is no budget to
cover small costs! Maintaining the website, blog, sending and answering
emails, and keeping Facebook and Twitter updated are all done during
volunteered spare time.
Things that are always needed at Pikes Peak Community Cupboard events are: pens and markers, name tags, swap tags, non-alcoholic beverages to share, and sampling utensils (toothpicks, small forks & spoons). We ask that you try to bring those items on your own to be as sustainable as possible and if you have extra, sharing is encouraged as well. Depending on hosting location, sometimes we will ask participants to bring small folding tables so that we have enough counter space for everyone.
We encourage you to bring specific needed items to Pikes Peak Community Cupboard. We are not asking for monetary donations, but to keep Pikes Peak Community Cupboard running smoothly, we do encourage you to donate these items. This is very much appreciated.
We are always looking for local businesses to donate their space to hold our events. If you know of a local business who is interested or if you are interested in hosting, please contact us!
Also, please try to print some "swap tags." That is where you will write your name, your items (description/ingredients/etc), and where offers will be written. This file is courtesy of the Hip Girl’s Guide to Homemaking. Feel free to download and print the Word or PDF file below for the upcoming Pikes Peak Community Cupboard!
Since we are passionate about building and supporting community, we also encourage you to bring some canned goods or non-perishable food items to donate to our local food banks. Only non-homemade items can be accepted, so keep that in mind.
Thank you!
